London- The Red Lion Cellar Bar
By editor | November 15, 2008
48 Parliament Street
Westminster
The Red Lion Cellar bar is a truly unique experience. Right down the way from the halls of power at Downing Street the Red Lion Cellar Bar is on of the oldest bars in the world, dating back to the 1300’s. Their is is something very satisfying about drinking in a bar that’s twice as old as your home country.
The bar is also a regular hangout form British members of Parliament, due to its close proximity. TV’s regularly show legislative sessions so the MP’s know when to put their beers done and hustle back for a vote.
Food is standard pub grub and prices are a little high, but for the atmosphere and the history, its worth it.
