    If Frank Sinatra were alive and hung out in Indianapolis, he would hang out at Nicky Blaines. Located right downtown on the circle, Nicky Blaines is a basement bar that drips with old school charm. From the jazz band, to the leather couches to the guy who walks around lighting your cigarette for you, it sometimes has a surreal feel, like you’ve walked onto the set of a movie.

     Nicky Blaines was voted one of Esquires best bars in America, which is the only endorsement I need. Its the perfect place for a date, scotch and cigars with the guys or just to sit back and experience the cool that is Nicky Blaines. The best part? It’s the Midwest and everything’s cheap, you can get a cocktail for six bucks.
