Washington DC- The Looking Glass Lounge

The Looking Glass Lounge, which opened a few months ago, is a fantastic albeit oddly located new bar. The LGL is on Georgia ave. a block south of the Georgia Petworth metro, which for those who know DC can be a bit of a bad area. None the less LGL is a classy establishment and patrons should not be scared off for the area (which in reality is not unsafe, just a bit unsightly)
The Lounge features a full dining room, two bars, one of which has outside seating, and a great selection of beers on tap. The menu is fantastic as well, I recommend the nachos with vegetarian chili, they are not to be missed. They have bar trivia on Thursdays and drinks specials every weekend.
I have whiled a way a few hours in here and this is the kind of place that’s perfect for wasting time. Its relaxed, quiet and inviting atmosphere makes The Looking Glass Lounge a great place for a few drinks to wind down after work.
